Each Tropical Sundae begins with a free dance lesson at 5pm with some of Sydney’s funkiest dance teachers followed by a night of dancing.

‘KOOLBREEZE’

Dance Style: ‘Dancehall’ – (Jamaican dance style)

Taking it back to the roots in this week’s class with “Pon De River Pon De Bank”! The major hit song and dance by one of the legendary dancehall artists ‘Elephant Man’.

This Sunday we have Jamaican born, but now proud Sydney-sider, DJ Koolbreeze delivering a workshop on the fundamental dancehall moves to this song! “So wi gonna give dem a Runnnnnn!”

Make sure you come out this Sunday, as we Koolbreeze teaches the details of the different dances that are featured in this song. Suitable for beginners and experienced dancers wanting to learn a little dancehall history.

If we are lucky, and master the dances really quickly, we may even be taught the Willie bounce, also an iconic dancehall move which you need in your arsenal. Ironically Elephant man is also responsible for this hit song.
