Heavy Congress and Celtic Roots HiFi presents Iration Steppas

Heavy Congress and Celtic Roots HiFi presents Iration Steppas

Date30/10/2026

VenueCeltic Roots HIFI

Building on the groundswell of support for dub reggae soundsystem events around Sydney, Heavy Congress and Celtic Roots HiFi are proud to present the one and only Iration Steppas!

The Vanguard of DUB!

Iration Steppas is one of the most well known UK soundsystems, with a reputation to match. It’s rare that we get such legends passing through Sydney, this session is gonna be HOT!

A foundation of the West Yorkshire underground bass music scene, Mark Iration and Dennis Rootikal met in the early 1990’s, and the rest is history. Iration are best known for their legendary Subdub events in Leeds, as well as touring all over the UK and Europe on an almost constant basis.

Iration have inspired the newer more progressive style of reggae and dub, paving the way for a generation of new sound systems and dub producers such as O.B.F, King Alpha, Dubkasm and many more.

Iration have built a proud discography with albums such as Original Dub D.A.T., Dubs from the High Regionz and Dub Arena – as well as many singles, and they continue to produce bass driven music, more recently in a tight combination with Rico from O.B.F.

For the past 30 years Iration Steppas have pushed boundaries on sound system technology, continually improving to stay at the top of their game, and have collected one of the deepest vaults of dubplates and specials of any sound system. Mark is a natural entertainer – this one you will not want to miss.

Event details

The session is on a Friday and will run from 5pm till 12am, featuring the Celtic Roots crew and some of Sydney’s finest reggae selectas, all played through our heavyweight hand built dub soundsystem – built and operated right here in Brookvale. Iration is known for flexing soundsystems to their limits, so expect intense bass pressure!

Come straight after work, this session will be the perfect way to wind down after a long week!

There will be food on offer, and the crew at Manly Spirits will be serving up all your favourite drinks to keep you energised through the night – further details to come closer to the time.

So make it a date and don’t be late – tickets for this one are expected to fly out the door, and when they’re gone, they’re gone!
