” Day Of The African Child”

Location: Tanks Art Centre, 46 Collins Avenue, Edge Hill

Time: 5:30pm – 10:30pm

A cultural event open to the wider community showcasing African cuisine, music, art and dance.

Included in the event will be cultural and artistic performances by local Cairns Africans and African musical and dance groups as well as a performance by our headlining international act the Asanti Dance Theatre of Ghana who is based in Melbourne.

Asanti’s performances include African song, drumming, dance, and acrobatics.

A selection of traditional African foods from a wide range of African countries will be on sale.
