THE ARTISTS:
KAKHAND
Kakhand emerged out of the realms of Sydney’s inner-west and brings a skilful blend of dub, hip hop and drum and bass. He has supported international artists including Mad Professor, Easy Star Allstars and Fat Freddy’s Drop, and played at festivals across Australia and New Zealand. Kakhand has also produced his own album ‘Meet Kakhand’, and remixed big artists including Jamaican legend Sizzla Kalonji.
SOLIDARITY SOUND
Solidarity Sound is a reggae sound system playing dub, roots reggae and steppas music in an original sound system style. Based in Byron Bay, Solidarity Sound was formed in early 2012 when reggae selectors Joe Dubs and Selecta Fabio joined together and began their project of building a custom reggae sound system.
The mission of Solidarity Sound is to strengthen communities through the power of conscious music, positive vibes and heavy bass.

DOLLAMIX
Dollamix made his mark in New Zealand with Mad Ants DJ crew before moving to Byron Bay where he has been playing festivals, supporting international acts and rocking house parties for the last 10 years. Known for his killer vinyl collection of dancehall and hip hop, Dollamix has developed a reputation for bringing the party with his high energy and passion for the music he plays.
ROB D
Rob D comes from Sydney’s Foreign Dub family and is a singer, dj, drummer, producer and ‘junglist’! Specialising in drum n bass and jungle, Rob D crosses through genres with his ears always focused in the bass.
DADOU
Born in French Guiana, South America, Dadou Pretinha is a talented and unique vocalist /Singer whose individual lyrical style merges between Ska, Neo Soul, Old school Reggae, Blues and RNB.
She is influenced by her South American culture, as well artists such as Gregory Isaacs, Etta James, Sizzla, lee Scratch Perry, SOJA, Amy winehouse, Maria Gadu and most of all her father Jornick ‘Joelick’.
BAPTIST
Coming from the hip hop, dancehall and drum and bass movements of his home country France, Baptist has featured in the Melbourne’s drum and bass scene and sings regularly in Byron Bay with his crew Boom Faya.
JAMINGLISH
Originally from the UK, Jaminglish has been a regular at reggae nights in the Byron area and played at festivals including Splendour in the Grass and Island Vibes. Growing up Jaminglish was heavily influenced by the musical tastes of his Jamaican father, as well as the UK underground hip hop and jungle scenes.
