Freerange Roots // Recently stepped into town after being on the UK circuit for 7 years having played alongside many big name artists. Dedicated to bringing you the finest roots and culture, cage-free, no barriers. Gathering all peoples of all communities together through word, sound and power, spinning on vinyl from 8-12am.
Saturday:
King Keith meets Rik Sonic Downtown // King Keith is an original selecta who set London dance halls ablaze before moving to Australia where he has played selected venues and currently hosts ‘Bambu Hut’ – a weekly radio show celebrating Jamaican and Afro beats – on Sydney’s Eastside Radio 89.7FM. His style is a mix of classic Ska, Reggae and Dancehall.
He’ll be teaming up with Rik Sonic of Sydney’s Inner West Reggae Disco Machine to take us on a musical excursion through the history of Jamaican music from Foundation Oldies to its influences on the outernational Reggae sounds of now!
Be sure to come along and check this riddimwise selection.
