On Friday 31st March we will be taking over the top floor of Brown Alley and running 2 rooms – hardcore, up to di time dancehall in the main room, and in the garden bar it will be strictly vinyl, from the 80s, 90s & 00s….Dancers will be in the place, and the dancefloor will be lit.
So if you love your dancehall, or if you love a good party and mixing with a fun friendly crowd, make sure you head down.

Jesse I
One half of Melbourne’s original reggae dancehall crew Chant Down, Jesse I has been promoting Reggae and dancehall music to Melbournians since the late 90’s via his radio show chant down Babylon, and legendary night More Fire. With an epic collection of music, he can really bring so many styles to the mix.
So Fire
So Fire started out Djing on soundsystems in the UK and Europe. She has been running I love dancehall for 8 years, and more recently has started True Jamaican Dancehall tours with long time collaborator Mz Kitty Cat, bringing Jamaican dancehall dancers to Australia.
Al Good
Al Good has been a regular on the Melbourne dancehall scene since 2009. Expect up to the time tunes, riddims and a bagga hype. Al Good is known to mash up a dancefloor any time, any place.
Stallion Selaktah
One half of Stallion Soundz, Selektah has been a regular at I love dancehall over the last year. Hailing from Zim, Selektah plays a solid mix of up to di time hardcode dancehall, afrobeats and local artists.
Rebel Bass
Hailing from the deep south of New Zealand Rebel Bass has been mashing up dances since 2002 playing the toughest Reggae, Dancehall and custom Dubplates and hyping up the dance in New Zealand, Australia and South Korea. Supporting big Kiwi crews such as Katchafire, Kora and King Kapisi and even international legend Junior Reid. Rebel Bass specialises in 90s Bashment, juggling 45s and nicing up the dance!
Operator Andy
Founder of Cool Operator Records and co-founder of System Unknown Sound, Operator Andy brings out the best in 80’s & 90’s dancehall, rub-a-dub, and obscure digital cuts from way back when. You can expect the best in old school pressure, one away tunes and dubplates.
Roots Radikal
An original member of System Unknown Sound Roots Radicals has held down Three Monkeys Sunday Sessions for over three years and has enjoyed playing gigs at some of Melbourne’s best Reggae nights including More Fire, Basement Sessions and Pull Up Selector. He is a keen record collector and draws his main inspiration from 70s Roots and 90s Dancehall.
MAGNETYK & TING – A LING
You may have seen the devastating and bootiful dancers – Magnetyk and Ting-A-Ling – burning up dancefloors and stages around Melbourne as part of the Jungle City Dancers. Tonight they will be bringing shwcasing their dancehall queen styles, feirce and fabulous…
