The Jamaican Association of Australia (JAA) Incorporated is celebrating 10 years of serving the Jamaican community in Australia. The Association was established as a non-profit organization, by members of the Jamaican diaspora in 2012, in order to provide for the social, cultural and educational needs of the Jamaica community in Australia.

The Association also joins with Jamaicans around the globe to commemorate Jamaica’s 60th anniversary of Independence from sovereign rule.

The Association, recognizing that Jamaica has lived up to its famous proverb – we likkle but tallawah (small but powerful), has planned to recognize the contributions of Jamaicans who have excelled and continue to uphold Jamaica’s global brand in Australia.
