The 4’20 Sound are a Byron Bay based reggae outfit who have been taking the local sound system culture to new heights. Their music is inspired by the traditional sound system culture; playing fat reggae beats and home made riddims (instrumental tracks).
Their weekly Byron Bay sessions are considered as a phenomenon, filling up dance-floors with 700 to 800 happy patrons every Monday.

It all started 3 years ago wit the crew spinning various reggae classics on the decks and MCing along. Since then, they have been producing their own original riddims, writing new pieces and collecting dub-plates (special vocal cuts) from the biggest reggae artists in the world.
Today The 4’20’ Sound are the owners of a huge and versatile arsenal of reggae selections, founded on original material, written and produced in Byron Bay.

The core of The 4’20 Sound are, hard working DJ / producer Oren Selecta and French MC Baptist. Their style flows from roots reggae to dancehall, dub to dubstep and jungle drum n’ bass, which proves to please the crowds at each and every event.
