MORE FIRE 181

Date12/03/2016

Starts10:00 pm

Ends4:45 am

Chant Down keeps the fire blazing for Australia’s longest-running reggae night, mixing the best new roots and the freshest dancehall together with vintage classics, custom dubplate specials, and live vocals in a soundsystem style.

Residents Jesse I and Ras Crucial will be joined in March by very special guest selector Mad Minox, representing Harare’s long-running Silverstone “Don Sound”. Since the early 90s, Mad Minox has been bringing dancehall to the people of Zimbabwe, while also taking Silverstone around Africa, the US, the UK, and most recently Canada. Local support on the night comes from selectors Bumaye and Solomon, and songstress Quashani Bahd.

More Fire # 181 takes place on Saturday 12th March at The Mercat basement (456 Queen St, Melbourne). Doors open at 10pm, with a cover of $12 or $10 for concession holders, and PBS FM members.
