Australia’s longest running reggae night reaches another milestone on January 13, as we celebrate 200 More Fire dances. Since April 2001, residents Jesse I and Ras Crucial have kept the fire burning every month, while playing host to well over 200 different guest DJs and vocalists.

To help mark this historic occasion, Chant Down residents Jesse I and Ras Crucial will be joined by very special guest Tom Spirals, live and direct from Glasgow, Scotland. With roots as a songwriter, Tom is known for well crafted real talk lyrics and a million melodies mixed into sound system culture and flow. His energetic performances have taken him all around the UK & Europe, holding down the mic for many well respected producers in the scene such as Mungo’s HiFi and DreadSquad. Tom is also the resident MC at Scotch Bonnet Record’s Walk n Skank night in Glasgow.

Support on the night will come from some of Melbourne’s greatest reggae & dancehall talents – selectors Zare Demus, Lady Banton, Sista Sara, Troublemekka, and DJ Agent 86. Real reggae music and blazing dancehall… More Fire!!

More Fire # 200 takes place on Saturday 13th January at Bar 420 (420 Lonsdale St, Melbourne). Doors open at 10pm, with a cover of $15 or $10 for concession holders and PBS FM members.
