Get ready to dance all weekend as PANZfest returns for its third year!

PANZfest is Brisbane’s biggest Caribbean steelband festival and it returns in 2019 bigger & better than ever! The three day event will feature steel bands from across Australia and New Zealand at the Rocklea Showgrounds from Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd September 2019.

Highlights of the program include:

– Ten steelbands from across Australia and New Zealand
– Over 100 steelband musicians performing together as one massed band
– Caribbean Carnival Parade – public welcome to participate as Blue Devils
– Caribbean Carnival Night Party – live music from Australia’s finest Caribbean musicians
– For the first time ever, local 60 piece Kelvin Grove Wind Orchestra will perform with the massed band
– World renowned musicians include Tracy Thornton (USA), Dr Jason Koontz (USA) and Nicky Bomba of ARIA award winning Melbourne Ska Orchestra
– Percussion workshops by Nicky Bomba and steelpan workshops all open to the community
– Children’s activities include face painting, jumping castles and craft zones
– Caribbean food, international food trucks and bars operating all weekend
