DJ COMPETITION: This time we are doing a friendly DJ competition. So while we are all competing for the prizes, its all in good nature and vibes. Each DJ who enters the competition must vote for their favorite DJ of the night (not themselves). The crowd favorite will be awarded 5 votes (which will inevitably decide the winner). The decks will be passed around 3 tunes at a time. At 11ish we will announce the winners.

PRIZES:
1st place – 20 X 7″ Reggae Vinyl
2nd place – 1 X Ticket to any reggae gig in Sydney under $50
3rd place – 1 X Freerange Roots T-Shirt

Reggae Vinyl Social Club: For Sydney’s Reggae community, a place where we can come together, share our music, vibes and knowledge. Each session will be hosted by some of Sydney’s finest reggae selectors, with the opportunity for those with a passion for reggae music to step up to the open decks and showcase their vinyl for the people. No judgement, just respect, praise and love for reggae music old and new. If you want to join the open decks, drop a tune on the event wall.

• If you wish to play your vinyl, post your name on the event wall along with a reggae tune. If you’ve got some lyrics to drop, post your name on the wall with a reggae tune, same way.
• Any players of instruments who wish to jam alongside our selectors, bring along your horns, drums, strings and vibes!
• If you have reggae vinyl but don’t like being on stage, you can just pass a record to the host earlier in the night, and your riddim will be dropped in fine style.
• Musical policy: Roots & Culture, Ska, Revival, Rocksteady, Rub-A-Dub, Digi, Dancehall, Steppas, Dubwise.
