Launching a new reggae concept night, which will feature a roster of top notch reggae bands and djs playing in Margaret River at the Settlers Tavern, kicking off on Saturday 17th September with roots reggae band THE U-NITES.

Original roots reggae band out of Perth Western Australia. THE U-NITES came together through a common love for reggae music and the joy that it brings to people world wide.

With the band always focusing on bringing the strong foundation of drum and bass forward in the rhythm and mixing it with a special an uniquely fun party vibe
THE U-NITES always enjoy the time that music brings to their life and audience.

The lead singer Josiah Komichi is the newest member to join the band, being from zimbabwe he brings an african sound that he describes as “devastation Roots”. Keyboardist and singer David Dread is from Zambia he was born in Jamaica and gives the band and crowd that special Rastaman vibration.

Lead guitarist Tio Jimmy is from a East Timor, he grew up in a very musical family and has learnt to play guitar with true feeling and expresses his life’s journey through it.

The Rhythm section belongs to Ej jamal Mohd on bass guitar and Ian Norris on drum set, together they have a great respect for the “riddim” that came out of Jamaica

The band being new has managed to perform consistently through out the Perth a Fremantle area of W.A over the past 16 months and looking towards an exciting last half of 2016.

All the members of the band come from different cultures and have their own story to tell through the music that they make which is strictly Reggae.

Supporting on the night will be RTRFM’s Jamdown Vershun DJ’s Mumma Trees and DJ Simba.
