Roots Culture Festival will inspire you!
Set to take place on Native Hut Creek, Turtle Bend with its iconic ‘turtle’ pavilion in a natural ampitheatre and community gathering place, the festival will feature a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony by Wadawurrung – Wathaurung Aboriginal Corporation, yoga, Brazilian Capoeria, reggae, roots and blues music, DJ’s, children’s creative space, market stalls, organic and biodymanic food, bar with local beer, wine and cider.
This event is an opportunity for different people to come together and enjoy music, art, healthy food, market stalls, sustainable fashion and interactive workshops, all in a beautiful location.
Roots Collective invites people from the city and country to come together and connect with each other.
Roots Culture Festival is about promoting simple líving, creative expression, community well-being and environmental sustainability – we wish to nurture and strengthen community networks and the relationships between people.
Roots Culture Festival is supported by the Victorian Government FReeZa program, Golden Plains Council and Reggae Cruise Melbourne.

11am to 12:30pm will be drug, alcohol & smoke free
12:30pm Bar serving local beer, wines & ciders opens (18+ only) ID will be requested and checked
No BYO, no glass please
Seating, shade, umbrellas, marquees will be provided, bring a picnic rug.
WHO WE ARE:
The Festival is nurtured by a group of friends who run various community outdoor events in Melbourne – Australia, such as the Reggae Cruise, Blues Cruise, Melbourne Regatta, Brazilian Festival Sarava Fest, international band tours including Steel Pulse(UK) and collaborating with many venues, artists, shows and festivals.
