After a massive year of non stop touring and festival performances, urban roots-reggae act The Strides are back in their hometown for a very special double bill with reggae powerhouse Kingfisha (Bris)!

The Strides recent album ‘Reclamation’ has seen them tour the country and ink a deal with European label Recordkicks. This night will bring their characteristic reggae-afrobeat sound of powerfully melodic horns, driving bass lines and the authentic vocal stylings of Barbados’ Reggae Master Ras Roni and Fijian MC Lil G-Zeus.

Hailing from Brisbane Reggae/Roots/Dub heavyweights Kingfisha have made a serious impact on the Australian Roots and Reggae scene, taking out best Roots act in the 2010 Triple J unearthed competition. Other recent highlights include performing some of the countrys best festivals including Byron Bay Blues Fest, Reggaetown and Woodford Folk Festival, supporting the Easy Star All Stars, Katchafire, the Blackseeds and Midnite (Virgin Islands) as well as other Reggae heavyweights.
