Born Sioeli Manu and raised in the small town of Upper Hutt in Wellington. Swiss began singing at the local Methodist church that he and his family attended.
Swiss grew up listening to R&B music from artists such as Boyz II Men, Jodeci, Usher and Brian McKnight just to name a few and fell in love with reggae through artists such as, Fiji, J Boog and Spawnbreezie.
When he was 13 years of age, he and his family moved to Australia and by 14, Swiss began recording and writing his own music at home and quickly built a fan base across social media by uploading at least one song every week on YouTube.
Fast-forward to January 2012, After years of curtain raising for artists like Fiji & J Boog whenever touring Australia. Swiss was touring across the US continuing on to Australia & New Zealand after independently releasing his Smash hit single ‘Slow wind’.
In July 2012, He signed to the Iconic NZ record label Dawnraid Entertainment releasing an EP that same month and then a 12-track album in 2013, both charted in the TOP 10 NZ albums including smooth renditions of classics such as ‘Blue Bayou’ & ‘If tomorrow never comes’.
After taking a break in 2014 and parting ways with Dawnraid, Swiss came back in 2015 starting his own record label, BLK Entertainment. He then teamed up with talented producer DESAH and put together the ‘YOU’ EP which released in July 2015, Charting at Number 1 & 2 on the NZ and Australian Reggae albums on iTunes.
In 2016, He has already released an 8-track EP which was available for free download for his fans called the ‘YESAH Wednesday Project’ and is now focussed on yet another project for the summer.
